About Me

Bobby received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Virginia Commonwealth University, College of Humanities and Sciences with a concentration in pre-law.

Bobby received his first foray into the political arena with an internship with then newly elected Senator of Virginia, Jim Web in 2007. Bobby quickly felt he would be able to have a greater impact on the causes he cares most about by working in the nonprofit industry and advocating for changes in the government and world as an independent citizen. No slight to Jim Webb of course.

Launching into his career in March 2008 (after graduating college a semester early may I add) Bobby began working at HealthRight International, a global health and human rights organization. Bobby’s longtime idol, Hillary Clinton famously said “Human rights are women’s rights, and women’s rights are human rights,” Beginning to find his footing, Bobby quickly realized that he would be of most use to the organization by focusing his efforts in the fundraising field. He particularly loved this position while getting to help raise funds for the  organization’s efforts to help serve mother’s and women gain access to health care such as the following fundraiser and design.

He continued building his skill-set in direct mail, individual, corporate and foundation fundraising as well as social media outreach and fundraising by transitioning to the Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS), a New York City nonprofit focused in helping the homeless, low-income families, supported housing services, mental illness, training, social service topics, and much more.

After receiving an amazing offer by his mentor and former Executive Director at HealthRight International Bobby joined the Center for Comprehensive Care at St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospital, a direct services clinic and pharmacy for those living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses in New York City.

Most recently Bobby served as Major Gifts Officer for the environmental organization Heal the Bay. Prior to Heal the Bay, Bobby served as the Corporate Relations Manager at The Painted Turtle securing corporate partnerships and sponsorships for the organization.

Bobby refocused his energy into raising his voice for issues important to to marginalized communities around the world and here at home. Through this effort you can see Bobby appear in media outlets ranging from CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, FunnyOrDie to international outlets including the Berliner, International Business Times, The Telegraph UK and more. He is an avid social media contributor and influencer commenting on a range of topics from politics, the 2016 election, current events and pop culture.

Bobby is a fierce supporter of women’s rights, civil rights and human rights.

Bobby and his fiancé live with their two black pugs in Los Angeles.
